The tune is definitely a hoot! It was the first recorded version, although I don't think it ever charted.

"Psycho" was written by Leon Payne, who was also responsible for classics like "Lost Highway," made famous by Hank Williams, and "I Love You Because," a standard most of us know Elvis cut in 1954.
