A really beautiful rendition of this classic song, originally recorded and released by Johnny Cash for Columbia in 1958 - his second single for that label.
This performance is part of a concert held in 1984 in Montreux, Switzerland, which also featured Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson - also available on YouTube.

This is a wonderful rendition of a lovely song. Cash and Nelson together were a great match. As were the Highwaymen as a whole. I love their music individually and together, especially Willie.

Thanks for posting. I always had the impression that between Willie and John was the "less chemistry" of all the four highwaymen. Does anybody agree?
For sure, I love the "VH-1 Storytellers" show and am still desperately waiting for a full uncut release of the whole program.
