I'll bet he did, as he deeply enjoyed the music, and loved the Beatles very, very much.
Yes, Apple works in mysterious ways.
A few years ago, "Mojo" magazine (can't recall which issue, sorry) announced that an official DVD release of the "Let It Be" documentary would be available in the next months, yet finally it wasn't to be. I wonder what the reasons can be behind such decisions, when any quality release bearing The Beatles' name would be embraced by thousands of people around the world.
Thanks for the link on Shea Stadium. I didn't know overdubs had been recorded by the band. If they ever release it officially, I hope they use the original untampered sound, in the best possible quality.

The complete, untampered tape of 8-15-1965 was issued on import a few years ago. They are good, albeit sloppy at times. Of course, 55,000 people in a stadium all screaming while you have no stage monitors might be considered a hindrance.
In any case, Apple will not likely give such a tape an official airing.
Incidentally, the upcoming releases (CD/DVD and LP/CD) do include this tape:

Thanks, Doc. What an event was the Shea Stadium concert. 55.000 people. I think it was the biggest audience until then. Too bad Elvis didn't woke up then to return to live concerts.

Doc, I doubt Elvis watched it in 1966. It was first screened on TV in the U.S. on ABC in January of 1967 ( Jan. 10th to be exact). This was rather late given that they had already played Shea again in 1966.

Prior to the ABC-TV broadcast on 1-10-1967, it "was shown in colour in cinemas," according to my link. So perhaps he caught a 1966 screening in Los Angeles. He loved them very, very much.
