He has a brand new album! A tour in support, coming off his one-man show and still evolving "Shatoetry" app. And Trek documentaries, comic-cons, Sci-fi conventions . . .

He's 82. And a half.

From the same album, this is great. Simple but effective.

Someone should point him in the direction of "My Boy."

If the director had invited Shatner to simply do the piece at different tempos and emphasis the actor would have responded, but to give him a line reading was an insult. Shatner's mimic of the director's vocal inflections was precise, and he was right to ride him down. Despite the tonnage of his bread & butter work, Shatner is a superb actor. He doesn't get many chances to show how subtle and inventive he can be. After watching The Final Frontier -- the only feature he's directed and a terrible film though no fault of his -- I turned to my wife and said Shatner should be directing westerns. He'd have made one helluva director of westerns.

How would the Shat handle 'My Boy'. Something like this.

You're SLEEPING son I know

But really this can't wait!(exclamation)

I wanted to explain (larconically), before it gets too late (wistfully)
