I like Kurt Loder.
From what I've seen from numerous vintage interviews, he is always very fair - though never easy - with Madonna [almost like an Ali-Cosell type of kindredship, if you will
From very early on, he was one of the first reporters to recognize her talent and the massive impact she was making on popular culture.
