I'm confused by the link, as i doesn't seem to have anything to do with the story etc!

Wonderful piece of Christmas magic, though. Crosby was still in remarkable form at 72 when this was recorded.

Great back-story! Maybe its time now for Bowie to pair up with a singer popular today for a holiday recording-and carry on what Bing and he started.

It's a nice idea but I seriously cannot think of any current pop singer, no matter how big they might be right now, that matches the talent or stature of either of these gentlemen. IMO anybody that would be paired up with Bowie for something like this would be a lightweight and 35 years from now I doubt we would be rehashing it as a milestone such as this original performance was.
