Sad to hear about the death of Johnny Otis, who passed away on Tuesday. What a life he had though, working with many jazz, R&B and rock 'n' roll greats, and having a number of diverse and interesting careers.

Oh that's terrible. Otis was a pivotal figure in the expanding popularity r&b into rock n' roll including serving as mentor for Leiber and Stoller among others. His stage show review was way legendary.
90 is a nice long life though. RIP.
