Rick Nelson - It's All Over Now (unreleased version)

This was one of the tracks for the Memphis Sessions record. It was a heavily overdubbed that came out in 1986.

This version is probably the undubbed master (certainly sounds like it is) -

Much much better! What do others think of it ?

No longer unreleased, it's on the box from Bear Family that came out last year. The original versions sound much better than what Epic released as Memphis Sessions in 1986 - heavily overdubbed guitar parts, and a cheap sounding drum kit all the way through. Just one of many examples of a record label cashing in on a musician's death.

1978 or 1979. It was a R n R project with a working title called "Memphis Sessions" But after completing the album, Epic records cancelled it. After Rick died the album came out in 1986 but with overdubs on all the tracks (except perhaps "True Love Ways") . What an insult -

That's Alright Mama
It's All Over Now
Dreamlover
Rave On
Sleep Tight, Goodnight Man
Almost Saturday Night
Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone
Stuck In The Middle With You
Send Me Somebody To Love
True Love Ways

Catalogue: Epic FE40388
Released: 1986
Producer: Steve Buckingham

Lonely Summer , are all the tracks that appeared on the MEMPHIS SESSIONS (1986) in undubbed form on the Bear Family box?
