Jerry L Lewis - Let Me On (1980)

This was brought to my attention on the Moody Blue thread that after listening I felt t worth a place for the Classic Artists topic. Fine latter JLL recording.

"Let me on" was going to be one of the tracks for Elvis to do in Nashville, Creative Workshop studio in January 1977 but sadly EP cancelled the session.

What do others think ? Could there be an instrumental version by Elvis' TCB band?

Carl Perkins did a version, produced by Felton Jarvis, in '78. You can find it here:

There's also a song on that CD called "Mama" that Perkins wrote for Presley allegedly and of course the Elvis-tributesong "The whole world misses you"

Unfortunately neither "Mama" "Let me on" "The whole world misses you" is on you tube :twisted: TWWMY i heard 30 second fragment and Carl sings a few lines of "Battle hym of the republic".

Yeah, he incorporated it into his song. Not that good a song but a nice thought. It's the same song as "Tribute to Elvis" on Disc 2
