What a great, great band.

This is from CBS-TV's "Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour," Sunday, October 22, 1967. Also on this show were Eddie Albert and Moms Mabley!

Gene Clark had returned to the fold after they had asked David Crosby to leave the band. Clark actually co-wrote one of the songs that made the early 1968 LP (The Notorious Byrd Brothers), "Get To You," but his credit was accidentally omitted.

They also did "Goin' Back" that night:

Cool! I didn't know there was more to see.

Thank you, Doc.

The Doc is here for you, and for rock 'n' roll!

I dug out my Gram Parsons "Fallen Angel" DVD last night and there was a clip of "Sweetheart Of The Rodeo" era Byrds lip-syncing to "Mr. Spaceman". If anyone has this complete, please do put it up here. I had a look on youtube, but couldn't see it.
