Haunting delivery, wonderful candid photos, definitely worth
a two minute view!

Lovely!

When did Rick record that?

Rick recorded the song Dec.26th, 1985, just a few days before his
death.
This was a rough vocal guide, and Rick was to have re dubbed his vocals
after his upcoming tour, which of course was not meant to be.

Makes the viewing of the family portraits accompanying this video that
much more poignant.

Wow. Had no idea it was that late a recording; makes it all the more poignant.

I only have one greatest hits of his, but I'm keen to explore Rick Nelson's canon deeper, especially the country rock albums he made.

Thanks again for the info and posting this clip.

Have you heard Rick's "Funny How Time Slips Away"? It's the version that inspired Elvis.

Thank you, TJ. That was new to me.

Elvis' version is perhaps a little grittier (especially in undubbed form), but the influence of this version is unmistakable, particularly the dobro.
