Merry Go Round at the Hollywood Palace
Thu Mar 10, 2011 2:07 pm
Emitt Rhodes and his criminally overlooked group, the Merry-Go-Round, on the Hollywood Palace.
Signed to A&M Records by Herb Alpert, they barely dented the Billboard charts, but should have been massive.
Rev-Ola re-released their eponymous debut album on CD in 2005, along with Emitt's 1970 solo effort, The American Dream and bonus tracks in 2005, under the title Listen, Listen: The Definitive Collection (CR REV 110). It's a brilliant listen.

Nice find, a real walk in the past.
Loved the intro by Don Knotts, the Beatles garb, the whole experience
