Re: The Beatles - Solo Years Appreciation Topic
Ringo has put out so much crap post Beatles it's amazing. If it wasn't for his Beatles days he would be banished to show business hell. I have been watching his TV appearances in the 70s and he is not funny and drunk and promoting a godawful TV special and one of the worst movies I have ever seen called Caveman that makes Kissin cousins look like a classic.

Very similar in places,not identical though.Walter Hale 4 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 2:45 am"Soft Hearted Hannah" and "Deep Blue (B-side)".
It's been said and written these two Harrison tunes are identical.
But, I don't agree with that.
Let's listen now in this order:

Re: The Beatles - Solo Years Appreciation Topic
Interesting find. Harrison became very entrepreneurial and at one time, started up Handmade film productions. This is a from a movie called Water" starring Michael Caine and Billy Connolly (which i never heard of) . At one point in the film, "The Concert for Cascara" takes place that features the band "The Singing Rebels".
This made for the film band was put together by George to perform a song Eric Clapton co-wrote especially for the film called "Freedom".
This star-studded band features not only George but also Ringo, Eric Clapton, Jon Lord, and Ray Cooper and was shot in one day at Shepperton Studios in London. Enjoy ....

George in adelaide, AU for our first ever Formula one Grand Prix in 1985. He came here almost each year as he was huge Grand Prix fan. If memory serves me well The Everly Brothers was here at that time and George appeared on their adelaide concert.

Re: The Beatles - Solo Years Appreciation Topic
Interesting little excerpt. George defends his autobiography I Me Mine and claimed that he wrote two lines to Eleanor Rigby and Come Together that he should have been credited, but never made an issue about it.
I would tend to believe Harrison's version.

Paul McCartney & Wings - Wild Life ("The Bruce McMouse Show", 1972)
towards the end of Wings 1972 European tour, Paul decided to film some of the concerts for a potential TV special. It seems that all the filming was done during the day at the venue of the actual concert that would take place that night and a "fake" audience was specially filmed for later inclusion to give the impression it was an actual live concert.

John Lennon radio D.J. on KHJ -AM - Los Angeles, September 27, 1974.
John's appearance on the last day of KHJ's Superstar Week is such a unique & enjoyable listen.
Nothing else quite captures how he is here . . freewheeling thru phone-calls from his fans and answers some questions, taking requests, spinning tunes, reading live adverts. Certainly sounded like he had the skill for radio work
