For the 1971 winter vegas season, I know that Elvis stopped using the spoken word intro for Polk Salad Annie (i.e., "Some y'all never been down south too much..."). However, I think he resurrected it later on that year, if I recall.
Do you know the last time he used the spoken intro for a live show?

If i'm right the last time elvis used the spoken word intro was on November 15, 1971 in Kansas City.

Btw elvis did use the spoken intro during the January/February 1971 winter season.

We heard the spoken intro at Tuscaloosa on 11/14/71, but not at any of the other shows we attended.
IMO, when the speed of the song slowed back down later on the spoken intro should been reintroduced.
