I really love the master of A Big Hunk O' Love on this one. And to say that I thoroughly enjoy this CD is an understatement.

Nobody here has mentioned the "an american trilogy" track from the EAP silver box released in 1980 or the very cool "a big hunk o`love"
version released on the "greatest hits vol1" release in 1981 (The sound of your cry LP in the UK)
These 2 tracks....and more?.....has been OOP on cd for years,and not available on other releases.

I would even go one step further.
The mixing of the Feb 1972 material on the Burning Love CD ranks up to the very best Elvis concert sound ever produced.

I know this is way way late to add to this topic, but Greatest Hit's Vol. 1 was released officially on cd in Australia in both 1989 and 1990 (source: elvisoncd.com). A highly collectable cd if you can find it. We are way overdue a remastered release of this album on FTD or even a budget stand alone release.

A really good version, yes, but the drums sound a little strange and are too quiet in the sound mix.

A Big Hunk O' Love was one of the few fast rockers that Elvis could perform a decent version of in 1973 when his voice became weaker on most of the fast songs.

It would be nice to have this as part of a FTD or Legacy edition pulling all of the individual live recordings from the same time frame, along with a soundboard or mt concert, maybe throw in any straggler tracks from other obscure releases of the time like Trilogy and the stuff from the Patriot Paul Dowling release and maybe include remasters of the string overdubs of Always On My Mind and others...or are they to be released on the upcoming FTD This Is Elvis? I would love for it to be issued with a full picture instead of the gawdy triangle cover, it's a good photo of Elvis.

I would also agree I love my sound quality and like previous post says the burning love cd sound quality of live tracks are amazing.
To me this is how the April gigs on the road should sound I think that's why so many people didn't like disc 4 close up because there was so balls to the mix the drums and bass should sound thick in the mix imo
