April 14th 1972 - Greensboro, Virginia - Multi-track Recording
This show is my no. 1 favorite show from this tour, with an excellent sound and Elvis in a Great show mood, I think this is the best show we got from this tour. The introduction of Burning Love, and Elvis singing Burning Love is my biggest highlight, but the rest of the show is also really good. For those who don't have this show, I recommand the Madison CD "A Greensboro Revolution". In addition to this show, A Greensboro Revolution has a bonus track recorded backstage the night after, in Macon, Georgia + the unrepaired version of Bridge Over Troubled Water.

April 16th 1972 - Evening Show, Jacksonville, Florida - Audience Recording with good+ sound
Elvis is as usual doing a good show with a good setlist here. This is the best sounded audience recording we got from this tour. Some sources states that this is the afternoon show, so I don't know if this is the AS or ES. In addition to this audience recording, we also got some cuts in the movie "Elvis On Tour" filmed before and after the afternoon show.

April 17th 1972 - Little Rock, Arkansas - Audience Recording with good sound
The silver disc release of this show is having the Jackie Kahane's warm-up act from Elvis On Tour as a start. It's most likely the date of this act is April 17th, but if someone know this for sure, please add a comment on this topic.
The audience recording has only the last 11 seconds for the Opening Theme, and Funny How Time Slips Away and I Can't Stop Loving You is also incomplete. Otherwise, the show is good with standard songs for the tour.

On my end S.Minds is incompl. (at beginning), I Can `t Stop Loving is inc. (only 40 sec.) and Can`t Help Falling In Love is inc. (at beginning). Please check your copy at these points. i might have a faulty copy.
An indicator for the ES is that Elvis says during the intros.."The young girls that opened our show tonight.."..I think in these days he had the daytime right....lol..

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

These tracks seems to be alright here, so a new copy is on it's way. Let's hope our man was knowing the time of the day, so we can state that this is the Evening Show :D

April 18th 1972 - San Antonio, Texas - Multi-Track recording
A great and well known show for us concert fans. The show was filmed by MGM and parts of it was in Elvis On Tour. The setlist is typical for the tour and Elvis is in great serious mood. Already from the start you can hear Elvis is geared up for a good show, with a kickstart of See See Rider and Proud Mary, Elvis goes smoothly into Never Been To Spain. And the show continues like this, just great and well performed songs. I remember the first time I saw the movie "Elvis On Tour", both Proud Mary and Burning love did a great impression on me. Elvis also sings one line of Carry Me Back To Old Virginia here.

April 19th 1972 - Albuquerque, New Mexico - Audience Recording with fair- sound
The recording of Elvis' last show on this tour is distant and a little dull. Elvis is in the same mood as the day before, and does another great show. After Never Been To Spain, the band starts up with You Gave Me A Mountain (appearantly following the setlist), but Elvis has other plans. He lets the band play the intro of You Gave Me A Mountain and goes smoothly into Love Me Tender as natural as it could be. Don't Be Cruel got the "kick your...." lyrics. Another surprise here, is The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

I just love this show and the sound is phenomenal. One of the many highlights for me is an immaculate performance of "How Great Thou Art" –– Elvis's, pure clear voice is a joy...
IMG_0130.JPG
Ronnie Tutt's drums too are fantastic - the sound mix is superb! Great work by Dennis Ferrante. It's definitely one of my all-time favourite Elvis shows and the performances are some of the highlights of the ON TOUR film. Sadly it's the only official release we have so hopefully one day the other shows will surface. It really is sad that some of the King's finest EVER concerts lay in the vaults...

However, as good as it is - the Hampton Roads and possible the Virginia shows may top it – to have these in multi-track would be amazing!
IMG_0143.JPG
IMG_0145.JPG
Iconic Elvis pose to finish the show at Texas...

P.S. I'd love a Vic Anesini upgrade just to squeeze a tad more out of the tapes...maybe he worked on them in 2007?
