A show with a very standard setlist. Elvis introduces Johnny Tillotson after the band introductions. Typical for this season is that Elvis seems in good mood, but he's talks very little so the times he had some funny comments is very rare. Here he shows it during the start of Hound Dog. Both Hound Dog and A Big Hunk Of Love is worth listening too here.
The Last part of Brigde Over Troubled Water and the beginning of Suspicious Minds is missing on this recording. The recording itself is a little distant, but not too bad.

On my source Suspicious Minds is complete. The 2001 Theme is missing and the Closing Vamp is incomplete. Please note that we had this show back in 1976 on a 2 LP set called "The Vegas Years 1972-1975" (LP1) and 1979 on a re-issue called "Guitar Man". This show once was wrongly dated with "DS". But Elvis did It`s Over in the DS (see multi track recordings). Since it is missing here it must in fact be the MS.

A good standard show from this season, it's not much more to say about this show (see tracklist). He uses the "Before I Kick Your A**" line during Don't Be Cruel in this show also. Elvis introduces actress Cher Wills during the show. I haven't been able to find more about her, so I really need some help here.

This show has some small highlights for us jumsuit junkies, Elvis sings Help Me Make It Through The Night and talks a little bit during the show. He fools around with the slow part of Hound Dog, and goes seriously into a very fast tune in this version following up with a fast and raw A Big Hunk Of Love. The Introduction Of The Band is entertaining too.
The tape runs a little fast in the beginning of the show, and sound could be better though. The first part of Bridge Over Troubled Water is missing.

If the sound had only been better on this recording, this too had become one of my favorites from this season. The setlist is very standard, but Elvis sings two rare one liners, Lonesome and My Dreams Are Only Known during this show. Help Me Make It Through The Night is also worth mention. I think the Introduction Of The Band is incomplete (first part missing). The comments at the end of the tape is also interesting.

The Closing shows (and the Opening shows) is always more exciting to analyse than the rest of the shows. The recording of this show is not the best, but at least we got it. The sound is a little distant and there's some hiss to it. The sound improves much right after the flute solo of An American Trilogy and further on (different recording??) Suspicious Minds is incomplete because of the tape switch during the recording.
It seems by the sound of the audience that Elvis is fooling around a bit during Don't Be Cruel. During the start of Bridge Over Troubled Water, it sounds like there's is a dog barking in showroom??
After the Introduction Of The Band, Elvis introduces "...a good friend of mine and actor...". I haven't been able to understand the name of this person, so if someone has, let us know. Afterwards he introduces Vernon, Col. Parker and Priscilla. He also introduces The Rambos, a very popular gospel group from Dawson Springs, Kentucky.

My tape source ends after the flute solo of American Trilogy which can mean that your ending is a fake.
A change in sound is a reliable evidence.

Elvis is starting the circus with a See See Rider in full drive, follow by a new song for the season, Never Been To Spain. He welcomes the audience and introducing himself as Howard Hughes. You Gave Me A Mountain is beautifully treated when he does it in the front of an audience for the first time and Elvis' new record Until It's Time For You To Go is following right after. Polk Salad Annie is done without the talking intro this time.
It's a very lighthearted Elvis who sings the ol' ones here, Love Me, Little Sister/Get Back, All Shook Up, Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel, Hound Dog (Elvis sings the words "Oh, God have Mercy........" in the start of Hound Dog), A Big Hunk Of Love and a great Lawdy Miss Clawdy. After Lawdy Miss Clawdy we hear performs An American Trilogy for the first time ever.
Elvis introduces Sammy Davis Jr. and somone else (haven't been able to find out who, really Need some help here) during Can't Help Falling In love.
The recording of this show starts a few seconds into See See Rider, so the 2001 Theme, Opening Riff and the first seconds of See See Rider is missing.
