Detroit September 29, 1974 unreleased JEMS master on DIME

Hi,

from the JEMS archives a new unreleased Elvis master audience recording, the Detroit September 29, 1974 show.
Available on DIME tracker.
The sound is only average and distant, the Seattle 1972 master was far far better IMO.

Cisco, is another source available for that gig ?

All Right O.K. You Win which was sung on 9/29/74 AS (according to Dragonheart FTD) can`t be found on this tape. Also the show from 9/29/74 was only about 30 minutes long according to newspaper reports. The tape here runs over 50 minutes.Therefore the Detroit date from 9/29 is most likely wrong.

Please check if All Right O.K. You Win is on the tape..then it is in fact the show in question..

It is done during the intros..on my tape he does Lawdy Miss Clawdy instead..should be around the Burton solo.....

The first checkpoint I was looking for when I grabbed it tonight was Allright OK You win I also compared some wellknown tracks like Fever and so on. Elvis was very talkable during this period, so during the bass intro of Fever Elvis almost always says something here. There's no gaps in the show before the intros, but there's a gap between the solo appearances of Voice & The Stamps, so Why Me Lord is incomplete. So I'm 100% sure of that this is the real deal. So now we know that the show was indeed much longer than 30 min. This has been written many times, but according to Kathy Westmoreland, the whole show went on for about 2 hours like usual.

And for Vince, thank you a thousand times for the information that led us to this show, and for your question about a better source, the show was recorded on soundboard, but only Alright O.K. You Win has been released. So this is the only source we've got so far.
