Can you be a bit more precise?
I have a pretty good picture of the films in private hands and I'm not aware of any 16mm film except for the 1972 Jonas Mekas film (which is kind of useless given the filming technique)
That said, in a few cases 8mm came quite close to 16mm if all circumstances were perfect.
Maybe some of that stuff will see daylight at some point.
