My favorite is the released Memphis 74 album. That includes the edited down Amen. BTW, no dive bomb in the performance from 2-12-77 I attended, you know. :)

Thanks Juan for that memory. Why do you think that was? Do you think Elvis was "thrown off" a bit because of the guitar strap breaking? An interesting memory nevertheless.

I realize that some who never attended the later shows become, shall we say, "annoyed," when they hear the "dive bomb" routine on disk. However, when you were at the shows watching what Elvis was doing, in the environment, and hearing J.D. Sumner's amazing voice, I always felt it was pretty cool.

Exactly. I think he skipped the dive on 2-12-77 cause he was very up and the pacing throughout the show is good until towards the end he slows down a bit..but still energetic.

I can't imagine attending a show in 1977 and not getting a J.D. Sumner "dive bomb."

I have actually 3 favorite versions of 'I Got A Woman' which I like equally, so in no special order:

- August 25th 1969 Midnight Show (Las Vegas)
- August 11th 1970 Dinner Show (Las Vegas)
- April 9th 1972 (Hampton Roads
