Did Elvis think Glady's was 42 or 46 at her passing?

Sat Oct 24, 2009 7:13 am

there's a discussion about this on the elvis section and i was wondering if you know if Elvis thought Glady's was 42 or 46 at the time of her passing because I read somewhere that glady's told people she was younger then she really was,did he ever tell you anything about his mother or was that something "Off limit" with him? did he ever talk to you about dreams or visitations from her Etc? Thanks.

He'd reference his mom from time to time but nothing deep and heavy...told about getting a whooping from her once but she cried while doing it (that's the one story that stands out in my mind)

It's kind of hard to make out but I'll post a page out of the book the Dr. recorded Elvis' birth in...it lists her age. This is in the Kings Ransom Museum now.

Instead of Elvis Aron Presley it says Evis (I don't see an "L") Aaron (double "A") Presley.

And more things that catch the eye: It says V.E. Presley as father, age 18 years old, and mother: Gladys Smits (Not G.L. Smith which would be more consistent) age 21 years old, while Gladys was 22 years old when she gave birth.

I don't think this doctor was very accurate with his administration.

Thanks Sandi. :D

My youngest sister is looking into the family history and she finds lots of birth certificates, marriage certificates and books kept by the city council or church. A lot of times names are spelled different. The reason is quite simple, not everybody could read and write, let alone spell a name, so the City Council employee wrote the name as he heard it or thought it should be written.
My name Luuk is spelled quite different by lots of people, ranging from Luk and Luke to Luuc and Luc. That's 5 ways they can spell just one name.
But I admit, the "Elvis is alive because his name is misspelt" theory is more exciting than "the city council employee simply misspelt it".

That's sure one h*ll of a reason to believe that Elvis eh...I mean Evis is still alive. But on the other hand if it was "Evis"...you can't make the anagram "lives" from that name ...so you gain one argument why it has to be that he is still alive...and you lose another argument.

Wow...it's obviously not so simple to make a good solid conspiracy-theory. :?
