Last night I attended the Elvis Presley in Concert spectacular. What can I say, AWESOME!!!
I saw the one back in '99, but I got to say this was even better.
My brother and I were in awe of Elvis the performer - what a great vocalist, a great voice and what about the band - they were so tight.
James Burton was superb; Ronnie Tutt simply fantastic (I was getting tired just watching him), he just didn't let up.
It was a case of "goose bumps" all over.
Stand out tracks - what can I say, all of them, but in particular, Trilogy. The look on Elvis' face said it all.
I am not ashamed to say I shed a tear.
Rod Laver Arena was packed with people of all ages. It's great to see Elvis attracting new generations.
Every single song got massive ovations.
At the end of the concert I went up to the stage (I was seated in the floor section row V, smack dab in the middle - what a view!) and actually got to shake hands with James Burton.
I could go on and on and on......................
Did any of you attend the concert and if so, your thoughts.........
One thing's for sure; Elvis IS and WILL ALWAYS be the King...
