FTD Unchained Melody - Track Listing Posted on EPE website

This is the full picture taken by Keith Alverson;

Elvis arriving from Orlando, FL in the hotel lobby in Montgomery, AL with Ed Parker on February 15, 1977 before his show in Montgomery on the 16th

Keith Alverson on taking this photo - "I can remember one incident in Montgomery. Elvis arrived at the garage of his hotel, he had just completed a concert in Orlando. The car door opened, and Elvis walked straight towards me, heading for the elevator. The elevator door had not yet opened, and a crowd began to gather while Elvis and his group were forced to wait and face a dozen or so of us fans. Elvis talked and seemed very comfortable with the situation, while the security guys freaked out. I got in position and snapped my favorite candid of Elvis!"

And elvis was much better quite a few times in 73 folks....january 14th, december stax, and some concerts from june tour for example....

He was too sterile in '73. There wasn't too many chat with the crowd.

Me too, that is why I love his 1972 shows so much, high energy, fast paced rocking performances. Elvis shined best when he worked this way.

The San Antonio show is a perfect example of that... little chatter and excellent performances of each song. I would enjoy seeing that show in it's entirety... if it was in fact filmed from start to finish.

This is great news and the first FTD for months I'm really looking forward to.

Exactly what I need: A good soundboard recording of a concert that hasn't been previously available.

Other than the Moody Blue attempt, it is actually a pretty good show. The performance of Unchained Melody is definitely a good one.

It's a great show. He was fat and ill,but the crowd was fairly enthusiastic,they adored him. Can you hear this kind of enthusiasm when you are listening audience recordings from '73? Quite rarely,i think.
It's sad that the sound engineer didn't record the first few songs.

You could have linked to the site and not just copy and paste..

Yes,this is the actual show. More complete than the soundboard version.

For unknown reasons, the engineer never recorded the beginning of the shows on this tour, and consequently the CD starts with Love Me rather than Elvis' usual opening material for this tour.

No unknown reasons....if Elvis brought anything new into the show then rather in the middle section than at the beginning..that´s the point..
At this time they needed more new material for upcoming album releases.
See the bonus tracks of this new FTD.

this new cd seems to be very interesting and the sound should be very good even the cover art is ok to me
crossing fingers for a "stereo" or binaural soundboard ...... any info ?

to complete the upcoming disc ernst had a few other choices
but may be this material was'nt recorded / avalaible or too poor to be released who knows ?

just for the record ( according from elvis in concert website tracklistings )

Very interesting to have a sneak preview of the show (in reasonable audience quality).

Before the false start on Unchained Melody Elvis says that they are recording the show, so the tape could well be multi track???

Funny How Time Slips Away from 12th would be nice to hear!!!

As far as I know, the Feb shows were recorded by Bruce Jackson & Bill porter by a 6-track recording device, connected to the soundboard.
Same technique was used in March & April. (FTD Spring Tours)

So the sound on this one should be pretty good...

No doubt FTD has another Feb show.
If FTD wants to release for example Hollywood or Columbia in the future, it would be nice to have some extra's to.

Why me lord from Charlotte still sucks though.
For those who haven't heard it yet, prepare for the worst.

I'm looking forward to buying the CD.
If I had been in charge of picking the tracks, I would've left off "Why Me Lord". I have the version on the "Moody Blue and other Great Hits". Elvis had a good sense of humor, but the fact that he joked around a bit more than usual on this one would've been my reason for leaving it off of the FTD cd.

Some of the songs would've been good to use as extra tracks.
"That's All Right", "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)", "Big Boss Man", "And I Love You So" immediately come to mind.
