Thanks PEP. If Phoenix and Portland do actually exist in the BMG vaults as soundboards as Tunzi suggests, hopefully Ernst consider them for release. There are some fantastic shows throughout Sessions III that Tunzi claims BMG has that should see the light of day.

BTW, great footage of Bowie!

FTD will be a soundboard label in the near future.
I hope this is no surpise to y'all?

How smart it is to hold back the best material?
As the old Colonel put it, always leave something to be desired..
How about all Elvis fans 50 years from now? (there will be plenty)
Let's accept they also deserve new material..
We are spoiled.

Cheers, RJ

But do they?

Anything old an released prior would be
new to them...

Anyway I do understand what your saying,
but not fair in my opinion....

By the way I just noticed this in the book
If you notice Ernst does write MGM filmed portions
of the show, which included filming the muscians
on stage.....

If that was the case, here again makes No sense
for MGM to pass by Elvis.....

But logic may not be involved here as we know...

It is listed as Portland Oregon, November 11 1970 Memorial Coliseum.

If we are taking about the picture in the middle i think it's from September 12 Miami. If my memory serves me correct, that picture was among many that was dated wrong in the Lichter book "Thank you very much".

A closer study of the macrame belt on the other pictures shows it has the same design as the blue macrame belt.

Re: Can you believe what you read? Phoenix 1970....

There are many new members on this board so I think this is a great topic to read it.
