Heartbreak Hotel was sung on 5/01/75 AS in Huntsville

Blue Suede Shoes was sung on 5/31/75 AS also in Huntsville

Note that both songs were sung only once in this tour so my bets that both really comes from Huntsville concerts.

I take it you mean Huntsville 6/1/75...? Anyway, those two songs were performed several times during the April/May tour, so they could be picked from that tour, too. I don´t know for sure how many shows were recorded from the soundboard during that tour, but according to some web sites the following were definately recorded; Macon 4/24/75 (released on the boot From Vegas To Macon), Jacksonville 4/25/75 (released on the boot A Damn Fine Show), Tampa 4/26/75 (2 shows), Lakeland 4/27/75 (2 shows...? some songs released on a boot last year in bad quality supposedly from 4/28/75), Atlanta 4/30/75, Atlanta 5/2/75, Lake Charles 5/4/75 (2 shows...? released on two different boots A Profile - The King On Stage Vol. 1 e/s and Cajun Tornado disc 1 a/s), Murfreesboro 5/6/75 (FTD Dixieland Rocks) and 5/7/75 (released on the boot Keep The Fire Burning). Heartbreak Hotel was performed at 2 or more of the recorded shows whilst That´s All Right was performed during at least 3 of the shows if I´m not mistaken. Are we sure this FTD release will include songs from the June 1975 tour?? June isn´t in the spring...or...?

Sincerely MB280E

I think this is evident several songs are from the May/June 1975 tour. The songs '' I'm Leavin' '' and '' For The Good Times '' are most likely from the Huntsville shows and others appear to be from that tour as well.

By the way, the June 1975 tour started on May 31st and ended on June 10th and this is technically still Spring at that time.

We'll have tracks from both tours on this CD.

It was still spring until June 21st.

What I'd give to go back to 1975!

I´d welcome a box set with the 5 Huntsville shows on FTD. That would have been a top notch release IMO.

A good suggestion. In general, FTD should start considering releasing a boxset of some sort. Other collector's labels do it and Ernst stated at some point in an interview during the past couple of years that there will most likely be a boxset of material on FTD at some point. Because of the wealth of concert material BMG has in the vaults, it would make sense to put together a comprehensive look at a series of shows.

Songs don´t vary too much in a series of concerts which follow day by day so it gets boring..
I think one Huntsville show would be enough..

yes, but a box set containing big boss man, dixieland rocks, huntsville, cleveland july plus dinner at eight could have been a good idea.

and I would surely buy a box set of vegas 69 containing all the unreleased shows, even if they are virtually the same!

It could have been a good idea had they not already released all those concerts except for the Cleveland concert...!

I don't want to. I have to go back to school then. Also CD and DVD weren't invented yet and no Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings.

Are you crazy? No Lord Of The Rings, but ELVIS WAS ALIVE!
I´d like to go back to 1975 but be the same age I am now, not six years old... would be kinda difficult to follow Elvis on tour at that age...

Can't wait for this one! Great tracklisting, cool cover and title. Personally I like the idea of certain tours and Vegas seasons being represented by a 'best of' CD. 8)

Don´t worry Jeff d, my mistake, of course no soundboard recordings from Huntsville (May/June 1975 tour) are released yet. I have heard one song though from one of the shows in soundboard quality, I think it´s released as a bonus track on an old boot, can´t remember the title.

A Soundboard recording of 'Hawaiian Wedding Song' from Huntsville, May 31 1975 (Evening Show) was a bonus track on the bootleg "Checkmate In Vegas", but it's unknown if the complete concert was recorded.

What I like the most of the coming release Southern Nights is that is a compilation CD. Only the highlights of Elvis Live in spring 1975. We should have more of those !! Only highlights of a certain tour on 1 or 2 CD's. No more love me, see see rider, I got a woman, teddy bear, etc. Only highlights just like Spring Tour 1977.

What about this:

The best concert of a certain period in complete form...and a "best of of" release like this one from time to time..

I really would like to see one of these Huntsville shows as a complete soundboard release..they are really oustanding...

As for "It's Now or Never":

I checked the ElvisConcerts web site ( http://www.elvisconcerts.com OR you can take a shortcut to this link: http://www.elvisconcerts.com/tours/t19751mi.htm ), and looked at the tracklistings for the April/May 1975 tour. "It's Now or Never" is listed - along with the other songs from the April/May '75 tour.
But when I looked at the tracklistings for the individual shows, it does not say at which show Elvis sang "It's Now or Never" at.

When we get the CD, we'll find out.

BTW, I am looking forward to this FTD release.

Tom (from Ohio)
