I know, I know, it's way too early, but I was listening to a comp I'd made of 1971 Elvis last night and it had a few Christmas songs on there, and rather than rush to the stereo crying "Ooh! Bad luck to listen to Christmas songs out of season!", I let them play, figuring it was nearly the right time of year.
So I reckoned that as we'd had the top 3 of everything else, why not his Christmas songs?
Mine:-
1) Holly Leaves And Christmas Trees - I just love that melody, so beautifully melancholic
2) I'll Be Home On Christmas Day [remake] - love that bluesy groove!
3) If I Get Home On Christmas Day - another lovely melody

I'm surprised yet pleased that Holly Leaves is getting so many votes. I thought I was in a minority in loving this song.

"Santa Claus is Back in Town" is not only my favorite Christmas song from Elvis, but it's in my top five Elvis songs, period.
"Santa, Bring My Baby Back To Me" is second, and
"Merry Christmas, Baby" is third.

I think it was in the IF EVERYDAY WAS LIKE XMAS set, next to an alternate - and really interesting - take of "Silver Bells". Haven´t you heard them?

Does anyone else agree that Elvis struggles with 'The First Noel'? It's a popular choice.

And it is way too early for Christmas songs!
C'mon. It's not even Halloween yet. Here in the states,
I've seen Christmas displays in stores already.
Those tracks will sound much better in two months, trust me.
