Yes.

Europe seems to get the longer version. If the sound is the same as on E1 and E2 I will buy it (only for the sound, because I think we will have to wait very long, untill we see the whole catalogue to be treated that way). Hope somebody will give comments on the sound. And maybe some friend can "organize" the "missing" songs from the American edition, because I really do not want to buy it a second time just for some songs (alas I would like to have Steamroller Blues in E1 quality).

Over there the combined versions of E1 and E2 were sold at a dump price from the beginning.

I definitly will not buy all 3 CDs at full price. I expect the set at the price of an expensive single CD (€ 19 - € 21). This is the max I would pay. I have seen E2 for € 10 these days.

No, I won't buy it. I didn't buy "E1" or "Second To None" either, mainly because they feature the ridiculous "Rubberneckin'" and "ALLC" remixes. In fact I haven't bought a mainstream release in years. But these kind of releases are what people want, so you can't blame Sony/BMG for their choices. As long as FTD remains, I'm not going to complain.

What's funny, is that people who just have to have it all, will be buying Elv1s 30#1 Hits for the 4th time already!

First, it was the standard Elv1s 30#1 Hits cd.

Secondly, then came the Extended Version, with the additional cd containing previously released alternate takes on the FTD label.

Third, the Forever Elvis double cd package, consisting of Elv1s 30#1 Hits and 2nd To None.

And now, for the fourth and certainly not the last (?) time, Hitstory is released.

BMG must be laughing all the way to the bank, thinking of those poor suckers...

I rest my case.
