Best track on "Elvis Presley" (LP-version 1956)

Hi! I don´t know if this is the right section, but it´s a kind of review from us all, I guess.

If you don´t mind, I´m going to arrange polls on Elvis´ original albums (LP-versions), starting with his 1956 LP debut. It´s almost impossible to choose just one track, and it depends on the mood and so on. But for his debut, I have to go for the rockers. Blue suede, Money honey, Trying to get...or I got a woman. Well after a long hesitation, I go for the wild Blue suede shoes....today

There´s a maximum of 10 options, so I had to take two tracks away (My least favourites). Sorry if I took yours.

What do you think folks?

Hi, I voted for "I`m counting on you", but I really like most of them. "I`m counting on you" just has a special meaning to me so that`s why I hit that button

Now, this is going to be interresting. I started those polls on an another forum (shame on me, being unfaithful ), but there were to few visitors.

"Blue Moon" and "Trying To Get To You", not only strong SUN cuts, but the best on the album and two of the finest recordings of Elvis Presley's career. If singles were included back then, the vote would go to "Heartbreak Hotel" -- no questions asked.

It's a shame these polls don't allow for more than 10 options although there probably would not be many votes for 'I'll Never Let You Go' and 'I Love You Because'.

It's a tough choice but 'Blue Suede Shoes' gets a thumbs-up here.

Yes, very tough choice. This is my favourite album by Elvis of the 50´s.

Tough choice indeed, but, IMHO, I Got A Woman is a true stand out classic and my fav off that first Lp...

I think we need a few more votes. It´s equal between Trying to get to you and Blue suede shoes. Nervewrecking!

I almost seem to kill myself. It´s an impossible mission. But it´s fun to see other peoples views. And here we are talking real fans and not the casual listener, so a few surprises are possible. Trying to get to you seems to be the winner here and some days, it´s my winner too...but Blue suede shoes was my favourite when I voted. And Money honey....must stop!

We seem to have a winner here and the choice is good in my opinion. Trying to get to you had probably got Elvis´ vote too, a he performed it well all through his career.
