Re: Clinton Global Initiative to close
Why would foreign donors continue to donate if the ability to influence peddle has been stripped following HRC's defeat?

Yes, very much. Tax returns are irrelevant to determine which foreign donors gave to either one of them. It would simply would show you earned income from outside the country and the amount. Trump and Clinton both filed financial disclosure campaign forms and fundraising lists of their campaign donors with the Federal Election Commission. And, pursuant to federal election law, foreign donors cannot donate to presidential campaigns.GibbersGanfa wrote:Do you believe foreign donors influenced Hillary Clinton but not Donald Trump? However, foreign donors could make donations to the Clinton Foundation. And, by doing so, they could curry influence with a future President Clinton. Indeed in August, the AP determined that many of the donors to the Foundation also met with her while she was Secretary of State.

Then, add in the fact that she ran all of his email correspondence at State through a private server she kept in her basement in violation of Federal Records Act and subsequently ordered the server be destroyed using "bleach bit" by her computer techs. Yes, she did turn over paper copies of some of her emails but left out 30,000 which she and her lawyer's said were "personal." But, the Federal Records Act requires an independent actor at State to determine which emails are not related to government work. Perhaps, she has something to hide? Donald Trump certainly never did this!
Here's a classic case raised by the New York Times in October.

And, there is also this article from August of 2016.
