Was sad to hear one of the first generation of alternative comedians died today ,he was only 56 ,he will be missed

Just saw this on the news. It's really sad. He was one of my absolute favorite actors, always made me laugh.

A legend. He was one of the greats of British comedy. Very sad news indeed. I loved 'The New Statesman', Alan B'stard was class.

Shocked by the news of his death. Absolutely loved the Bottom series, but was a fan of The Young Ones and Filthy Rich & Catflap as well.
As a kid I was mad about Laurel & Hardy, as an adult I never laughed as much as watching Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmondson in Bottom.

Sad news. It makes me sad, because he brought a lot of laughter to me. Bottom was actually top!
