Sticky FECC?

Does anyone else have the problem when typing replies etc that, after a number of lines, the whole thing just freezes, then the flashing cursor goes on go slow and what you type takes about 5 minutes to make it to the screen? I'm guessing it's a normal problem as it's on both my desktop and laptop? But does anyone know why? Is it an IE problem?

I thinks it might be the browser. Try it in Chrome.

After that, and still a problem, you need to clean the system, update everything, and reboot.

Clean your caches!

Get a program that cleans temp files, the Registry, everything.

I use Norton, but there are others.

And IE was the best browser. In 1997.

P.S. -- Make sure that Flash is up to date, and Java. And in Chrome, disable pepperflash. Use the real Flash.

It's certainly not temp files etc - it was the same when I bought the laptop and first used it. Sadly quite a few websites I use work much better in IE. It's a pain having two or three different browsers open at once, but guess that's the way to go if I insist on writing books on here.

FECC has always been so stable. Curious. But I don't use IE, except for extremely rare occasions.

If Chrome works, use it.

I agree about Chrome. I've only had one problem with it since I have been using it (where the "Flash" wasn't working properly). I hate IE with a PASSION!!!

I agree about Chrome. I've only had one problem with it since I have been using it (where the "Flash" wasn't working properly). I hate IE with a PASSION!!!

Open a new Chrome tab.

Type in the address box:

chrome://plugins

Disable "pepperflash" Enable the REAL Flash, and make sure it's up to date.

This is important. If you do not have the real Flash Player, download it.

To be honest, I can't say as yet whether the same problem is occurring there as I have yet to write a post of more than a paragraph or so on here whilst using it. It's only long posts that the problem seems to occur.
