Mine is Jerry Reed - She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft).

Wonderful thread, thanks. Out of memory I can tell you it was Freddy Fender's "Before The Next Teardrop Falls", that was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Charts at the time.

I looked it up and on the country charts it was "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" by John Denver

How about these for song titles:

Ain't Never Gone To Bed With Ugly Women, But I've Sure Woke Up With A Few
She's Looking Better After Every Beer
Her Teeth Was Stained But Her Heart Was Pure
You're The Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly
She Got The Ring And I Got The Finger
My Wife Ran Off With My Best Friend And I Sure Do Miss Him
If I Had Shot You When I First Wanted To, I'd Be Out Of Prison By Now
I'm So Miserable Without You, It's Like You're Still Here
I Wouldn't Take Her To A Dog Fight 'Cause I'm Afraid She'd Win
I Liked You Better Before I Got to Know You So Well
How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away?
If The Phone Don't Ring, You'll Know It's Me

It's actually "it's almost like you're here". And the song's title is simply "I'm so miserable".

rocknroller... your age says 45, so how could it be Elvis Presley with "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You"?

@mysterytrainrideson: I didn't know Britain had country charts...
And it's new to me the Monkees had a #1 hit on the country charts... :P
