A Musical Christmas Greeting For Everybody!

Mon Dec 23, 2013 11:21 pm

Just thought I'd share this with everybody for Christmas - a classic that my guitar player and I had some fun with (I'm "New Jordan", he's the "Cliff Wright Combo").

Hope you enjoy it - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

First of all, I love the font used for "Cliff White Combo."

I'm glad to hear you guys kept to the Drifters/Presley arrangement, with just a bit of a tempo uptick. And your vocal/s are well-rendered, indeed.

Have a cool yule and a frantic first!!

Thank you! Much appreciated!

I love harmonies - it's also what makes the Jordaniares/Stamps so much fun for the karaoke songs we do. I'd love to do a "Jordanaires"-style album "by New Jordan", just for the experimentation of it. Maybe someday. :)

Oh, crapsticks - my mistake! Yes, absolutely them too. Thanks for the reminder! Though I haven't done much with them yet. I also missed: Ben & Brock Speer, The Ken Darby Trio, The Nashville Edition, The Mello Men, The Amigos, The Anita Kerr Singers, Millie Kirkham and other individual backup singers. I'd mention The Blossoms, The Holiday Sisters and The Sweet Inspirations, but my voice isn't exactly built to emulate their tones. lol :)

Speaking of backup tones, here's our latest karaoke release, if anybody has an interest:

One last one for Christmas Eve, a song that my wife and I wrote:

DonĀ“t get mad, but I did not like the first song :sosorry: I always try to be honest...

That last song, on the other hand, was beautiful. I especially liked the piano. Good work. Have A Happy New Year!

Scarre - in all honesty, if you're going to like one and not the other... I'd prefer you like the one my wife and I wrote (the one you did like). So that's awesome! :)

That "White Christmas" was just a fun little experiment, anyway, and it's not for sale anywhere. The second is from my 2009 CD and is on Itunes/cdbaby.com/etc. Also, the links in my signature can show you more original songs if you've any interest at all (shameless plug! lol).

Hope you have a Happy New Year, too!

Jamie, I knew you would appreciate an honest opinion. I could never not like something your wife wrote :D All the best to you and yours.
ps. a "shameless" plug now and then is ok  ds.
