Only Marilyn Monroe could make a subway grating look glamorous. The shot of Monroe standing on the grating as her skirt rises up from the breeze from an oncoming underground train in "The Seven Year Itch" (1955) is still one of cinema's sexiest moments.

Now you can visit that spot (the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and 52nd Street in Manhattan) as part of TCM's Classic Film Tour of New York City, which kicks off Thursday. The bus tour, a partnership between Turner Classic Movies and On Location Tours, is a chance for movie buffs to visit iconic Big Apple spots that served as locations for hundreds of movies.

Among the attractions are the Empire State Building, King Kong's hangout; Zabar's market ("Manhattan," "You've Got Mail"); Holly Golightly's brownstone from "Breakfast at Tiffany's"; Grand Central Terminal ("North by Northwest"); and Central Park ("On the Town," "The Producers," etc.).

The tour runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visitors also will see clips of the sites from the films. Call 212-913-9780 or visit www.tcm.com/tours for reservations.

What The Pirate is trying to say is, you should probably change "The 7 Year Inch" to "The 7 Year ITCH."
