On This Day In Beatles History

The Beatles' Abbey Road cover photo is shot in London. It's full of what some fans believe are coded clues tied to the "Paul Is Dead" controversy. Two examples: he's seen in bare feet and holding a cigarette in the "wrong" hand, and the Volkswagen Beetle with the "28-IF" license plate.

One of there finest albums. Side2 WOW!!! All that "Paul is dead" was tabloid rubbish.

Whats wrong with that zebra-crossing in the photo you've just posted?

The Paul is dead hoax was kind of amazing in its own way. The clues on this album and other songs, really made this thing take off. I remember a whole radio show devoted to this topic one night. If they didn't plant these clues, it sure became a bunch of incredible circumstances.
