There seems to be something of a Beatles theme on the board at the moment, so thought it would be fun to see Ella Fitzgerald's interpretations of the Fab Four's songs. She is often credited as the first artist to have a hit covering a Beatles song - whether that's true or not, I'm not sure.
In no particular order:
Can't Buy Me Love (a top 40 hit for Ella in the UK in 1964):
Hey Jude (official LP release)
A Hard Day's Night (Finland, 65. Ella messes up the lyrics. The LP version from Hamburg is better but not on YT):
Hey Jude (live on Hollywood Palace, slightly shorter big band version, but has video as well as sound)
Got to Get You Into My Life (starts at 6.15)
Something (from a bootleg CD, recorded in Belgrade, 1971. The version recorded in Nice in the same year is the "official" version, but not such good sound.):
Hey Jude (trio version)

Did she do many Elvis covers?

No, she clearly realised that The Beatles were the best band ever and concentrated on them instead.
(although her My Happiness and Soldier Boy are rather nice).
NB. I really must get to bed earlier. I have no recollection of putting the opening post together, which is slightly concerning!
