The Elephant In The Room

I just viewed The Elephant In The Room. A documentary about people
raising exotic pets in homes around the United States. Most of us know
that it goes on, but the numbers are staggering.

It's amazing how many states don't have laws concerning this. I'd like
to say more, but I'm hoping some of you that have watched it will chime
in.

It's worth viewing.

This is a true story. About 8 or 9 years ago I was leaving for work. I live in the middle of nowhere. I approach the end of my road and I see something crouched by the edge of the road. As I got closer it jumped up and ran into the woods. Much to my amazement it was a primate with a tail. Looked like a lemur or something. Needless to say I dont see many primates in South Carolina running aroud the countryside. I assumed it was somebodies exotic pet that either escaped or was just let loose. If not for the tail,I would have a nice juvenille bigfoot sighting.

Don't get me started on Bigfoot.

While I don't think it was one that was released, there's been reports of
a cougar roaming around our area. Dangerous for him and us.

Maybe the animals are paying us back. Watch the movie.
That means you too promiseland.

And no, I am not a fan of PETA.
