ELSTON GUNN - True Confessions

aka Bob Dylan recorded live in 1986. Folks scroll to 1:27.30 and check out Elston's version of Lonesome Town. It's good ! Ricky Nelson had recorded a number of Bob Dylan songs and this tribute was less than a year after his untimely death.

Many thanks. I've been enjoying the concert. Many, many highlights. "Lenny Bruce" is outstanding - as good live as on the record, I think. Tom Petty comes on for a "Bye Bye Johnny" without a trace of irony (this was after Bruce's re-working, and you know they both knew it), and a rollicking "I'm Movin' On" with a kind of "Twist and Shout" thing going on, and lots more.

Much more to enjoy (I assume while it lasts). Thanks again!

Your welcome mate. Just found another one by the Bobster from his 1978 Tokyo and Seatle concerts.

Perhaps the good Doctor may enlighten us on where and when exactly and if some of this was featured on the Bob Dylan live at Budokan double record.
