ELSTON GUNN - I Wanna Be Your Lover (1966)

I believe it's one of Bob Dylan's allias LOL. At any rate, this is an outtake from the glorious Blonde on Blonde 1966 sessions. I love it. What do others think of this one -

YouTube strikes again.

"I Wanna Be Your Lover" is an outtake from the first session for what became Blonde on Blonde, held October 5, 1965 in New York.

Bootlegged for many years, it was officially released in October 1985 on Biograph.

Thanks. Always nice to be enlightend about other artists. My knowledge on Bobster isn't the best (albeit I have the Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks and Masterworks CD's) Another thing, I'm well aware you are as dedicated a Bob Dylan fan as you are on EP. Look forward to hearing and posting at FECC more Elston tracks (such as the ones I think would be of some interest to other members) as and when I find them. Onya Johnno ::rocks

Thanks for this! (Elston Gunn was indeed an early handle of his; I'm pretty sure he used it during his very brief tenure with Bobby Vee. Cool stage name.)

There really IS a "New York sound," I guess. Sounds more like the previous album, or at least a hybrid of the two. Any more info on the musicians, producer, etc.?

Seriously; don't have it on CD. Haven't played the set in a while. Iguess it's in the link. Thanks. Curious about the session.

Night all,
