My husband has this set on dvd, he said he bought it when it first came out in 2004. It has all 52 episodes.He remembers it more than me, but I think i caught it a few times in the '70s in syndication, I remember the theme song!

I've been enjoying them since the official 6xDVD box set of the complete series was issued in 2004. No downloading necessary, just a wallet.

Thanks Johnno, you'll never guess what I'm doing as of this very minute (5:33 am Sunday Morning) OK I'll tell ya - I'm converting 7 episodes off YT in PAL 4:3 , from season 1 on a DVD-R. Matey, thanks for the info regarding the commercial release, but this will do for me now

Not a copyright issue, but a creative decision, although Sam Raimi's three Spider-Man pictures did utilise Paul Francis Webster and Bob Harris' popular composition. In the first two films, it's performed fleetingly by characters playing buskers, whilst the original can be heard at the final moments of Spider-Man's end credits. Michael Buble recorded a new version, which can be heard during the credits of Spider-Man 2, whilst a few bars of the theme are present in Spider-Man 3. Aerosmith also recorded a version for the soundtrack of Spider-Man -- which was quite good, as was Buble's recording.
