The Wire-How did I miss this show?!

I'm really getting into this show. I had no idea that this was cancelled and I was watching shows from several years ago, until my son told me. It's excellent!

I was a pretty good show.

I don't think it was as great as it's fans say it was though.

It reminded me of other serialized cop shows.

It was a great show for sure. However, I like "Homicide: Life on the Streets" better. Now that was an underrated show, it's probably my favourite show of all time. It's similar to "The Wire". It's also set in Baltimore and shares ideas and some of the actors with "The Wire", but "Homicide" preceded it. I highly recommend that show to any "The Wire" fan. It can be found on DVD.

I like the first couple of seasons, was a bit of a slow burner, much prefered The Shield, hit the ground running and didnt let up for seven seasons straight.

I really enjoyed The Wire....IMO the best season was the one with harbour/dock area as the main location.....season2? Been many years since I watched.

Brilliant show, i had the series on DVD.
