Sunday is Father's Day, not only in the U.S., but in the U.K., and many other countries. Hence, the reason for thread, which I wholeheartedly endorse.

Show him off! Grilling, or mowing, or something.

I don't even like Star Wars, but here it is!

Nice thread, thank you.

Here's my Dad, an original rock 'n' roller, in 1956.

He's still going strong!

Sorry to hear that, Ken. He wasn't old at all! They look like a lovely couple. Seems like they did a great job. He had much of which to be proud.

P.S. -- George, your Dad was cool! Had the aura of the era! Bet he's still pretty cool. 8)

Nice thread. Happy Father's Day to all dads, still with us or not.

I don't have a photo of my dad handy, but he's my hero. There is nothing he wouldn't do--or hasn't done--for me, and I'm very lucky to still have him (mom, too!)

How beautiful! Well, a Happy Father's Day!

(I heard about the Elvis-car. Let us know how it's doing . . . )

It has now been Father's Day in this part of the Earth for a couple hours. (And if I don't get some sleep, I can't get up early to wrap up some presents!) You can't get them balloons, you know. Guys don't like to get balloons. One of those things.

My Dad and I chatting at my son's wedding on July 1, 2011 - He's still going strong in 2012. Almost 74 and golfing and playing hockey like he's my age (50)!

Here's me at the age of 13 with my wonderful Dad John. He died of cancer in my arms in Novemer 2000 age 72. He was ace. A real hard worker - a real fun character and I miss him dearly. The things he did for me I can never repay.
