I had the idea for an article on the best Rolling Stones covers a while back when we had a similar Beatles thread here. Hearing Susan Boyle's cover on the radio a few days ago reminded me to get on with the article.

I've put together a list of ten of the best, which actually took me a crazy amount of time as I kept changing my mind, but I hope you like the performances and the article...

Thanks. Rod's "Street Fighting Man" was in the mix, but missed out when I got it down to 10.

One thing that I did notice when reviewing all the info is just how cute Linda Ronstadt was in the '70s!

brian wilsons (very rare) version of "We love you" is pretty good,also the unreleased unplugged beach boys "party" out take version of "satisfaction" is kind of interesting as well....

Ace Frehley's 2000 Man blows away the original Stones version no question. I have always been amazed at this live version on their legendary Australia tour in 1980.

I dunno about blowing away the original, the original recording is a classic. But it does fit Ace's character remarkably well.

Well everyone has opinions...but I have always thought the original was weak. It just doesn't have the kick that the remake has.

Now She's Like A Rainbow from that same album...could never be touched.
