Who's axe is that in your personal pic?

It's likely Joe Strummer's -- ever heard of him?

DJC is correct. The guitar was used by the late Joe Strummer who sadly died at the young age of 50 last December. Joe was the lead singer with The Clash, one of my all time favourite bands, and he used the same battered 1971 Fender Telecaster throughout his career.

Thanks RR!
That thing looks like it's gone through a war!
But I understand how guitarists feel once they get a sound they like.
The guitarist I work with has a Fender Strat that most of the guys in the band (myself included) think it sounds like crap.
I know this is unusual for the Fender Strat (another guy I know has one and the sound from that thing is perfection!)
- but he won't give it up or switch to any of his other guitars??
Anyway, I'm no expert when it comes to guitars but I thought that was an interesting pic.
Thanks again!

Bye the way Doc, yes, I've heard of him.

The picture shown is actually from a replica model, but it was the clearest image I could find of the actual guitar. I would guess that Joe’s own guitar was even more battered than this one by the time he had finished with it.
