The closest Robert Gordon got to the big time was when Bruce Springsteen gave him "Fire". His 1979 album, "Rockabilly Boogie" was the definitive rockabilly album, at the forefront of the rockabilly revolution that is often credited to The Stay Cats.

Danny Gatton was a phenominal talent. Gatton was easily one of the top ten electric guitarists of all time. The live album he recorded with Robert Gordon is incredible.

Robert Gordon with Link Wray wasn't so bad, either.
