FTD - SFE - Amazon

#265039

Post by rockinrebel »

Has anybody ordered this?

The label is listed as FTD, and whilst the listing is for the regular album only, it does say that this is a two disc set.

If they are shipping the FTD version, this is a real bargain at £8.99 (UK).

I would suggest it is the FTD version.

Amazon, CDDB, FreeDB and all the other online databases have trouble when a TITLE and ARTIST are the same over two or more different issues.

The workaround is for those submitting material for catologging to alter the TITLE slightly - in this case to "Something For Everybody - FTD". Or "Something For Everybody - 2006"

When you get to the point where you really understand your computer, it's probably obsolete

when i ordered it at this 'bargain price' it clearly stated the current FTD number and says 2 CD release...so (i hope) i'm getting a real bargain?

It is the FTD version. I know because I ordered it and I now have it in my collection. Obviously a mistake on Amazon's part! :D

Hey, I just noticed... Are they selling that CD for £8.99 now? What the f...? I paid £9.99 for mine! Outrageous! :D (I can't say for sure but I guess it's the same CD.)

Thanks for the notification, rockinrebel!

I ordered mine this morning (although you'll probably get yours before I'll get mine) and hopefully we'll stumble upon other FTDs for this price, too.

There are a few other dealers in the Amazon marketplace selling FTDs for £11.49 and up. Not all titles but quite a few.

I got mine in the mail a few weeks ago and the music is fantastic -- but then, that was to be expected. Thanks again, rockinrebel!

Anyway, I was at Amazon today and I noticed that Something for Everybody's price has been bumped up to £15.99. So much for getting your FTDs cheap from Amazon! :( Maybe future new releases will be at a sale price only for a short time?

What are Amazon doing selling FTD releases anyway? I thought they were only supposed to be available through proper Elvis fan clubs?
