One thing that caught my eye was that they say Roy 'influenced' Elvis and other contemporaries.

I agree that Elvis liked and admired Roy's work.

But is there any track where Elvis shows an 'Orbison' influence ?

Tomorrow Never Comes perhaps ?

Yeah, "Tomorrow Never Comes" has the same Bolero opening drum patter
as "Running Scared".
We've all heard Elvis sing the first bar of Running Scared in the studio.

On the big ballads, I thing Elvis was inspired more by the likes of Mario Lanza and Roy Hamilton.

Elvis shied away from "copying" Orbison because he felt he wasn't up to the job.

Any Orbison forehead/glasses combos ??? Trash cans??Cheap knockoff Black performance outfits??

No??? What the hell do they think they are doing??? That's no way to get a performer noticed........go ahead ,play the "artist" and "respect" card.

Cilla would frown at them...........if her mouth still worked.

Frown : Make an angry or worried expression by bringing your eyebrows together so that lines appear on your forehead.

No mouth work involved !
