Maureen Stapleton has died

Maureen Stapleton, one of the few actors to win an Emmy, a Tony, and an Oscar died this morning of chronic pulmonary disease at age 80. Mo was a dear, sweet lady and one of the greatest actresses I've ever met. My heart goes out to her family, friends and colleagues. Another great one has left us.

Oh man, very sorry to hear this. She was one of the greats.

That's so sad. Another piece of the culture gone. She was one of the generation that came out of the actor's studio and changed the theater and acting forever. She was really one of the last links to that scene.

That's so sad. As a matter of fact my wife and I had just finished watching the hilarious movie "Plaza Suite" that she was in along with Walter Matthau, this very same day. A terrific actress and from all accounts, a nice lady. May she rest in peace.
