Hi Tupelo Boy. You sure do have some variety on your list. What do you mean by the Catholic reference?
You had mentioned Andy Williams. There is something about the guy that I've always liked. I normally hate most of the pop singers from the 60's-70's. John Davidson, Wayne Newton, Don Ho and so on. I think I like Andy Williams because he sorta rocked on a few tunes here and there and he did have a great cvoice. He was also very cool during the turbulent 60's and early 70's. I remember his TV show and he always had some great rock performers on.
By the way, just for a change of pace, this week I listened to about 15 Andy Williams albums. Good stuff, if you like a good pop singer balladeer.

Hey Joe Lightcloud- Love your list. I think we would get along pretty good. For me though Sam Cooke would be my #2 behind Elvis. I would also include Darin, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, David Ruffin and Ben E. King.
Of course I like a lot of the singers mentioned by others as well.
I'm not much for Andy Williams though. He does have a cool Elvis connection. Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman wrote his "Can't Get Used to Losing You".

Bike how you doing,
I also love Sam Cooke, great guy, great artist, there is many other artists I love to listen to such as the great Chuck Berry, Bobby Darin or the fantastic Mr. Frankie Laine.
I also like a lot more obscure Rockabilly/Country artists such as Don Woody (Barking Up The Wrong Tree) or Warren Smith, another great Sun rocker (Red Cadillac And A Black Moustache).
There is so many great artists, it's impossible to list 'em all.
I have not listed the artists in order has I like them, I just listed 'em has I thought of them.
I'm not a big soul or motown fan so people such as "Smokey Robinson"
or "Marvin Gaye" would not be in my list. But to each is own....
If you are into Elvis then we would get on, anybody who appreciates Elvis Presley and his type of music.... I have a lot of time for.
KEEP ON ROCKIN'

Names I would add to those listed include Freddie Mercury and Gerry Rafferty.

I absolutely love that Warren Smith track. I don't know how it went unreleased. Collectables had a whole album available by him a few years back but it's now out of print.

Like The Bike,
You have good taste buddy, Warren Smith is a great Sun records Rockabilly artist. He was a good friend of Elvis, and I have a couple of good photos of 'em together.
I have a couple of CD's of "Warren Smith", and they are great.
BEAR FAMILY RECORDS in Germany do a great Sun Collection of Warren, with two versions of "Red Cadillac......" on it. Superb well worth money.
CHECK OUT THEIR WEB SITE.
