The Temptations are almost all gone except Otis Williams. The Four Tops have lost Renaldo Obie Benson and Lawrence Payton. '

Time is devastator.

Sam,

How about INXS and Skyhooks. It seems that alot of Aussie bands have

lost their lead singers.

Although the TCB Band seem to manage quite well in spite of their singer passing away in 1977.

One of the biggest, The Beach Boys.

Where's Brian Wilson, Dennis, Al Jardine, and Carl Wilson?
Dead or alienated.
All thats left are Mike Love and Bruce Johnston.

the blues brothers lost john belushi. and yes, they were a real band that produced some pretty hot selling records...most notably briefcase full of blues. dan aykroyd has since had several others taking john's place (john goodman, jim belushi, etc...)...but it's never been the same. john was definitely the lead. i think they are in fact the 3rd top selling blues revue of all time after james brown and tina turner.

thankfully the band is still all there (though duck dunn has had bouts of poor health in recent years). so not quite half is gone. though about a dozen people who appeared in the movie have died (john belushi, john candy, john lee hooker, cab calloway, aretha's sister, the penguin actress, etc...)

--------------

sonny bono & cher...sonny died in that skiing accident into the tree.

"Thank you very much. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the big, freaky International Hotel. Those little weirdo dolls on the walls. And those little funky angels on the ceiling. Uh, this is my first live appearance in 9 years. H-uhh! Thank you. I've appeared dead a few times, but this is my first live appearance. Before the evening is up, I will have made a complete and total fool of myself, and I hope you get a kick out of watching it." --EP
